In line with Federal Government directive, Ikeja Electric (IE) has reviewed the tariff for Band A customers from N225/kwh to N206.80/kwh.

Ban A customers are electricity consumers with a minimum supply of 20 hours daily.

The notice was contained in statement which was credited to IK. It stated thus:  “Please be informed of the downward tariff review of our Band A feeders from N225/kwh to N206.80/kwh effective 6th May 2024 with guaranteed availability of 20-24hrs supply daily. The tariff for Bands B, C, D, and E remains unchanged.”

It is not clear how the public will react to this new gesture from the DisCo arising from a directive of the government who has been criticized of being insensitive of people’s plight after initial increase.
