Nigeria Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association (NLPGA) has unveiled new logo after recent changed of its association name to Nigeria Liquefied and Compressed Gases Association (NLCGA) to reflect its commitment to quality and innovative practices in gas sector.
The new logo was unveiled on Wednesday at the 14th Conference and Exhibition organised by NLCGA at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos.
The unveiling of the new logo was led by Malam Saidu Bello, Deputy Director Gas who represented the Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas) alongside President Felix Ekundayo, members of the NLCGA Executive Committee and key representatives from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), the Major Energy Marketers Association of Nigeria (MEMAN), the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA), and the Decade of Gas initiative.
According to Joy Shaiyen, Hon. Treasurer NLCGA who spoke on “Rebranding NLPGA: The Journey So Far” said the umbrella body of all stakeholders in the LPG, CNG Gas sector in Nigeria, the new logo has three colours blue, green and orange which distinctively demonstrate the bold steps the association is making towards leading the industry in West Africa.
She described the logo as a symbol of NLCGA’s grandiose ambitions for the future.
Shaiyen said, “When NLPGA started this journey in 2002-2003, the capital consumption in Nigeria was 0.5 kilogramme per year, this simply means the each Nigerian was consuming half of kilogramme of LPG in 12 months period and as the same time Nigeria was exporting 4 million tonnes of LPG out of the country.
“With those curiosity, some stakeholders came together to understand what the issues were that birthed NLPGA to expand its expertise and services in line with vision of developing a more impactful LPG which was all made possible for consumers.”
According to her, NLPGA consistently train members and made an impact on its stakeholders.
