Niger Delta Power Holding Company Gets New Management Team

President Bola Tinubu has appointed a new management team for the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) in a move aimed at boosting the country’s power generation and distribution.

The new team, led by Engr. Jennifer Adighije as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, is tasked with driving the NDPHC’s mandate of effectively managing the National Integrated Power Projects (NIPP).

Until her recent appointment, Engr. Adighije was formerly the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Entrepreneurship Development in Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy and she will be succeeding Chiedu Ugbo, who completed his two-term tenure as MD since August 2016.

The appointment, announced by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, include Engineer Abdullahi Kassim as Executive Director (Generation); Engineer Bello Babayo Bello as Executive Director (Networks); Mr. Emmanuel Umeoji as Executive Director (Corporate Services).

Others are, Mr. Omololu Agoro as Executive Director (Finance & Accounts); Engineer Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama as  Executive Director (Strategy & Commercial); as Barrister Steven Andzenge – Executive Director (Legal Services)

The new management team is expected to bring fresh expertise and experience to the NDPHC, with a focus on improving the country’s power infrastructure and delivering reliable electricity to Nigerians.

Engr. Adighije later joined the Central Bank of Nigeria at the managerial level in the Procurement department, where she was doing value Engineering and cost control on the bank’s capital projects.

She holds a master’s degree in Wireless Networks & Telecommunications from Queen Mary University of London, UK, and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

She is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, a registered COREN practitioner, and a life member of the Rotary Club.
