Rotary Club of Port Harcourt, Rebisi Kingdom Recognises Oba of Ogbaland

The Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Rebisi Kingdom has recognized the Oba of Ogbaland, His Eminence Nwachukwu Nnam Obi the third, with an award of Excellence in Leadership.

The President of the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Rebisi Kingdom, Chris Ugechi during the award presentation at the palace of the King in Ogbaland, also conferred an Honorary Membership award to the Oba of Ogbaland, His Eminence, Eze Nwachukwu Nnam Obi the third.

Rotarian Chris Ugechi said Rotary is proud to identify with the King’s distinguished leadership style.

“Your exemplary leadership antecedents even before you became the King are glaring. Rotary honors such traits and that’s why our club choose to honor you with this award of leadership excellence and Honorary membership of the club”, he told he King.

The District Governor of Rotary International District 9141, Mightyman Aye-Dikoru, represented by the Assistant Governor zone twenty-six, Moses Egorerua while presenting the awards to the Eze Ogba of Ogbaland, appealed to the King to consider giving support to the growth of Rotary clubs in Ogbaland.

Responding, the Eze Ogba of Ogbaland, His Royal Majesty, Nwachukwu Nnam Obi the third, while appreciating the gesture by the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Rebisi Kingdom, said the Ogba Royal Kingdom in recent times is identifying with the tenets of the Four-Way Test of Rotary International.

“When you see an Ogba man, you naturally see a Rotarian. The Rotary Four-way Test is key that remains in our Kingdom. We will work to see your organization grows here and contribute to it. I will appoint some of my Chiefs to join your organization here. In all, we say thank you for all you have done”, the King said.
