Giving his closing remarks at the 11th Practical Nigerian Content (PNC), the Executive Secretary of Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Engr. Simbi Kesiye Wabote, urged stakeholders to implement the NOGIC Act.
In his words: “The law is aspirational with aspirational targets. So, it must be implemented to spur development and not stifle it.”
The event would have been held in Bayelsa state, home of the Content Board, but was later rescheduled to Akwa Ibom state due to flood that ravaged the state.
There were panel sessions, seminars and exhibition to show case Nigerian practical content in the oil and gas industry by companies operating in the country’s energy space.
No doubt participants had good knowledge about the industry as practitioners showcased the country’s strength in the oil and gas industry in terms of local content.
